Before the NES took over my life there was the Atari. Q*bert was a game on it. I always thought it was so badass that he would swear when he got hit by an enemy. Last night's episode of Family Guy is what reminded me of this game.

I kinda want to make a render of him swearing too. =D

I have a distaste for 3D, computer generated cartoon art like this, and at first I was going to rip on this piece for being a lifeless, boring turd, with its shiny surfaces and even distribution of unimaginative primary colours. But looking at it again just now, I noticed how excellent and subtle the purple snake’s expression is – and its body language too, which is especially impressive since there’s not much of a body to work with. And somehow that’s redeemed the whole picture. I look at it now and think, “That’s a nice picture.” No better than nice, but still: nice.
