Kirby Epic Yarn inspired me to make a yarn ball shaped Kirby. That was a weird sentence. So I then tried to make a sort of fake diorama scene.

Yarn was really hard to make and I don't think I was too successful. I tried to throw in a bunch of crap behind him to distract that fact. One of those things being a Cubeecraft Kirby.

I'll put up wip and close-ups pics later at ericbeck.com

Made in 3ds max 11, vray, and photoshop.

Kirby Epic Yarn Ball by ~vikung-fu is so adorable! When I saw it I couldn't help but feel the urge to hug it! The diorama-like composition and the little details in the background make it a fun and lovely fan artwork! ( Featured by ^rydi1689 )

so its a texture(i must say it is very well set), then the normal or the bump, then a little kind of displacement and then fur?

For a second there, I thought it was a diorama but after reading the description, I'm surprised, especially how you gotten the yarn textures in. I'm currently watching a Let's Play of this and its really an adorable game with so much thought into it. :)
